Piermario Murelli
Si è perfezionato con Franco Petracchi (Accademia Stauffer di Cremona e Accademia Chigiana di Siena), e con Giuseppe Ettorre (Accademia Perosi di Biella). Primo contrabbasso dell’Orchestra “I Pomeriggi Musicali” di Milano, lascia il posto nel 2001 per accettare il ruolo di docente di Contrabbasso al Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Milano.
Collabora con l’Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano e con l’omonima Filarmonica e, come primo contrabbasso, con i Cameristi della Scala, l’Orchestra da Camera Italiana di S. Accardo, l’Orchestra nazionale della RAI, l’Orchestra del Teatro “C. Felice” di Genova, l’Orchestra dell’Opera di Roma, l’Orchestra “Haydn” di Bolzano e Trento, l’Orchestra “A. Toscanini” e l’Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma. Ha così il privilegio di suonare con i più grandi direttori e solisti del suo tempo.
Appassionato camerista, è attivo anche nel repertorio contemporaneo ed è stato il contrabbassista del Divertimento Ensemble.
Apprezzato solista, si è esibito in Europa, Messico e Stati Uniti, ottenendo ovunque i più lusinghieri consensi di pubblico e critica.
Incide per Talent Records, Bayer Records e Stradivarius.
Ha pubblicato per BMG-Ricordi “Nuova didattica del contrabbasso” e la revisione degli Studi di G.Bottesini.
È regolarmente invitato a tenere master classes in Italia e all’estero.
Numerosi suoi allievi lavorano in orchestre italiane ed europee.

He specialized with Franco Petracchi (Stauffer Academy in Cremona and Accademia Chigiana in Siena), and with Giuseppe Ettorre (Perosi Academy in Biella). The first double bass of the Orchestra “I Pomeriggi Musicali” in Milan, he left the post in 2001 to accept the position of double bass teacher at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan.
He collaborates with the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and with the Philharmonic of the same name and, as first double bass, with the Cameristi della Scala, S. Accardo's Italian Chamber Orchestra, the RAI National Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro “C. Felice” in Genoa, the Orchestra dell'Opera in Rome, the ‘Haydn’ Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the “A. Toscanini” Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio in Parma. He thus has the privilege of playing with the greatest conductors and soloists of his time.
A passionate chamber musician, he is also active in the contemporary repertoire and was the double bassist of the Divertimento Ensemble.
An acclaimed soloist, he has performed in Europe, Mexico and the United States, winning the most flattering acclaim from audiences and critics everywhere.
He records for Talent Records, Bayer Records and Stradivarius.
He has published for BMG-Ricordi “Nuova didattica del contrabbasso” and the revision of G.Bottesini's Etudes.
He is regularly invited to give master classes in Italy and abroad.
Many of his students work in Italian and European orchestras.
He plays an 1860translator Paul Claudot double bass.
